Lorena dos Santos Oliveira
She is 10 years old, was born healthy but grew up amidst domestic violence, witnessing her father beating her mother and using drugs. She is a very affectionate girl but carries childhood traumas and fears of her parents separating. In 2021, she lost her maternal grandmother in November and her paternal grandfather in December. She suffered greatly from these losses and continues to suffer, though the wound has somewhat healed. All these difficult moments resulted in traumas. She has improved but still feels insecure due to everything she has experienced. She is embarrassed about being a little chubby and sometimes suffers bullying at school because of that. Her family has been very supportive, but because of all that has happened, she is a bit rebellious, yet still affectionate. Dance classes in the Finding Hope project have been a tool for her to overcome difficulties related to her appearance.
